With the iF Design Award 2019, the Italian brand producer of design radiators has reached six awards since the start of the year, four of which for Astro designed by Luca Nichetto.
Tubes Radiatori is among the winners of the 2019 edition of the iF Design Award, one of the most important international design awards.
This renowned award was earned by Astro, an electrically-powered designer heating element by Luca Nichetto for the new Plug&Play collection of Tubes Radiatori.
Each year, the oldest independent design institution in the world, namely the iF International Forum Design GmbH, which is headquartered in Hanover, organises the iF Design Award. This year, a generous 6,375 products originating from 52 countries competed for this much sought-after mark of quality. Astro was selected by a jury panel comprising 67 members, experts from all over the globe, owing to its innovative technology expressed through the dual function of producing heat and purifying air.
Having already won it in 2016 with Rift, Tubes is not new to the iF Design Award, which has rewarded quality and innovation in seven different categories for the last 66 years: Product, Packaging, Communication, Interior Architecture, Professional Concept, Service Design and Architecture. All the winning works are reported in the iF World Design guide, in the iF App and are also displayed within the iF Design Exhibition in Hamburg.
This is the sixth award for Tubes Radiatori since the beginning of the year and the fourth award for Astro just a few months since it was presented in Milan in April 2018, during the Salone Internazionale del Bagno show. The iF Design Award supplements the German Design Award 2019, the Iconic Award and the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2019.
