Tubes appears for the first time in Rotterdam and wins the Design District Best Product award for its Rift radiator. The 15th edition of the Design District trade fair in Rotterdam just ended and saw the participation of about 7,000 visitors who had the chance to admire products by designer brands in a stunning location - the Van Nelle Fabriek, a UNESCO world heritage site.
A panel of judges made up of journalists, designers and art directors awarded the Rift radiator, designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba with Matteo Fiorini, as the Design District Best Product.
Many heating systems are created to remain hidden in a design space whereas Tubes offers the radiator a leading position in the room. The panel awarded the modularity of Rift, as it can be arranged both horizontally and vertically, together with other heating elements or individually, and can come with a range of accessories including shelves and hooks. Beauty and functionality, high performance combined with a sophisticated look.
Tubes has always paid particular attention to the balance between high functional performance and the shape and appearance of its products, which, in many cases, have now become new icons and protagonists for all settings, whether residential or contract.
These qualities allowed Tubes to stand out during other trade fairs: in 2016 at the Salone del Mobile of Milan, it won the Salone del Mobile.Milano Award 2016 for its Origami radiator, and, in February, the ISH trade fair also named Origami winner of its Designplus Powered by ISH 2017 award.
